How we use iStore....

It might be helpful to know what we use the Oracle iStore product for. We currently use it in the B2C and the B2B capacity.

There are some functional features missing in the B2C store as compared to the B2B store. One such item is Direct Item Entry. If you have a B2C customer that returns, they are unable to use the Direct Item Entry feature to place their order - they still must navigate the catalog and choose their product to add to the shopping cart.

B2C customers cannot save their shopping carts or create shopping lists either.

Seems strange that these features were not carried over. I have often pondered why Oracle did not include this on the B2C stores. Once it was created, seems like a small step to include it.
